Stephen Tredre (1991-1996) Kate and Stephen met on the set of the british TV show “Dark Season”. She was 16, he was 27. Kate moved in with Stephen shortly after and they dated for 5 years. They remained close friends until Stephen died of bone cancer in December 1997. It was for Stephen’s funeral that she missed one of the Titanic premieres.Friday, December 8, 2006
